About me

I am New Leaf’s corporate attorney and legal structuring guru. I excel at designing initial corporate structuring and expansion plans as well as developing exit strategies and preparing entrepreneurs for their next venture.

Professional Passions

My legal practice focuses on corporate and sustainable business law. These areas include entity formation, specialized contract needs, and corporate values implementation. Both professionally and academically, I have been consistently drawn towards international and sustainable innovators.

Today, I squeal with delight (usually out of earshot of my clients) whenever I get to structure a business as a new form of entity, such as an L3C; or develop customized equity and management arrangements; or think my way through a particularly complex contract. I squeal at a particularly high pitch when implementing a complex Merger or Acquisition strategy! I find it extremely gratifying when I can use creative corporate structuring to help a business owner implement their enduring vision- especially when that mission involves an environmental bottom line!

I find fulfillment in working with business owners to address the challenges that come with their success.

Personal Life

As for when you see me out of the office, I am a huge Foodie! I live to eat. Whether I’m hitting my favorite restaurants or experimenting in my kitchen, I love indulging in all that is organic and local. I am a big wine fan and I enjoy attending tastings and learning as much as I can about all things vino. I am also a big movie buff and a bit of a sci-fi geek. You may also find me cuddling up with my cats and a book or maybe watching horror films on Shannon’s amazing couch.
